Music Ally has developed ‘The Release Playbook’ series to help artists and their teams understand the different elements of a successful release set up and execution. The courses will cover what to consider and what to set up before release, activities before and on the day of release as well as post-release, in order to grow an artist’s fanbase and drive engagement. They also offer useful checklists, examples and case studies.
In this second course, we will look at key activities you should undertake before a release in order to generate attention and build fans. We start with a checklist of things you should have prepared prior to release week. We will then focus on how to best drive streaming success and how to use PR to build the artist’s story and brand. After that, we will look at how to create a marketing plan and timeline, before zooming in on how to create effective communication channels on social media. We’ll finish by looking at some examples of teaser campaigns.
